There is not confirmed information that our city, have got on pages of the book of Guinness' records for outstanding successes on Olympic Games of the sportsmen from our city.
Probably it will not be surprisingly if to remember what people became here as Masters in different years. I intentionally write this word from the large character, trying to express to these people my respect and gratitude.
And let they heard and hear it many times in the life, nevertheless their merits before the country, world sport, a peaceful part of mankind - are conclusive and unforgettable.
I always guessed, that people including forever in a history of world sport and Olympic Games in a part, occur and show themselves not only to fill by the name in one more line in the world sports sheets ranks and to declare itself. There is something more powerful, meaning in it, on my sight. Appearing not of a human force of spirit, physical efforts exhausting trainings, years of preparation, fight with themselves... They are know and the God, what efforts reach those results, which were reached by them - Olympic champions.
Different years and in various kinds of sports these people - shakhtiniens, occupied higher places of Olympic pedestals and world championships.

You, shakhtiniens, are not touched by fact that these people live and work near us? We can meet them in the street as simply, as neighbor. Moreover, it is very simply to pass, not finding out them.
Each of us is knows (or suspects), that sport - is hardest work, especially professional. However, not everyone understands however great carry the man who has devoted all life to sport and however incurs it happens is complete and bitter cup of Olympic and sports glory, literally and figuratively.
For certain, those of us, who adjoin to sport by means of the TV screen or newspapers, do not imagine (imagine little bit) as hurts and torment sports wounds and traumas, that after 10-12 years of professional employment by sport many from the sportsmen become, practically, disabled..
As well as other exclusive persons, it happens with them peculiar feeling of “stardom” (which, however, shows not all from them), but they are favorites for us. Moreover, we - fans and admirers of their sports talents forgive much to them and we encourage them on new achievements, records shining by Olympic gold rises.
On pages of this site I little bit tried slightly to remind of the people - shakhtiniens, efforts of which have been resulted them on Olympic pedestal.
To my great regret, volume of the information is avaricious. It explained that during the existing of Soviet Union nobody having an authority was interested especially destinies of the sportsmen, even great (as a result, the informal information in official structures is not enough), and nowadays, not everyone wants to share... personal memories, photo materials... It could be, them frequently "got" - by asking for a photo and autographs and they have got tired of it, but to receive the information from the first hand - difficultly, and I am not the reporter.
