He was born on December 7 1923 in Shakhty city. Studied at school #11, after which ending has arrived on rates of the accounting workers at the Rostov regional educational combine. As accountant, he began his labor activity 17 years old on mine. When war have began, Boris was in city military commissariat with application about sending on front as volunteer, but him rejected - too young.

February, 1943, after clearing city of the fascists, Boris has left on front with coming Army as volunteer. Since first day he has shown self as brave warrior. He bravely battled on North-Caucasian, Voronezh, 1 and 2 the Ukrainian fronts. In March, 1944 Boris took part in forcing up of the river Southern Bug. March 18, 1944 at forcing up of the river Dnestr, in area of village Subbotovka, Boris Vasilievich has taken up control by platoon machine-gunners of 1127 shooting regiment 337 shooting brigade. Keeping place has beat off with the platoon 6 attacks of the enemy.

March 24, 1944 went fierce fights for clearing of Moldova. Boris with the platoon it was possible by first to force the river a Prut in area of village Ketrash and to ensure a ferry on the right coast of the river 1-st shooting battalion and artillery regiment. For courage and bravery, shown in fights, commander has presented him to a rank of the Hero of the Soviet Union.

However, he has not lived before reception of this high award.

May 30, 1944 Shopin Boris was lost at enemy aircraft mass bombarding.

September 13, 1944 to Shopin Boris appropriated a rank of the Hero of the Soviet Union by death.
