He was born in 1910 in farmstead Korolev, Dubovski district of the Rostov region. Since 15 years old, he is worked blacksmith in collective farm.

In 1930 years he comes in Shakhty city. At the begin he works in the central automobile repair shops, then as miner on mine "Proletarian dictatorship".

In May 1942б as volunteer, he goes to front. Participates in fights for Rostov-on-Don, protects Stalingrad, and beats the fascists under Orel, forces of Dnepr. At the front became the commander of anti-tank the battery 3-rd motor-shooting squad.

On December 21, 1943 division of the Soviet Army came to an village Chepovichi of Zhitomir region. Unexpectedly on artillerist's position, 20 fascist tanks against two cannon crew were set. The severe unequal fight began. "Tanks pass do not owe. Will beat up to last man in crew" - has told the lieutenant Egorov. 4 times Egorov's crew have beaten off tank attack. Rolled the cannon on a straight-line aim, he personally has destroyed 4 tanks of an enemy. Burned 7 beaten tanks, one BMI. Having entered in fight with one of "tigers", the lieutenant Egorov was lost as hero. All from his crew was lost also, but the enemy was suspended. It has changed a course of fight and has allowed our parts to take possession of railway station Chepovichi.

On August 25, 1944 Aleksander Egorov was appropriated a rank of the Hero of the Soviet Union by death.
