The first days of war Eugene Andreenko was directed as the military pilot in Kursk, in air bomber regiment. And soon Eugene Georgievich bombed German tank column near Vilno (Belorussia).

During war E. Andreenko has made 359 battle flights, from them 273 - on the distant purposes, 430 tons of bombs has dropped on heads of the fascists (basically in night time).

In 1942 he caused impacts on an enemy in areas of Bucharest, Warsaw, Constance and Berlin.

For bombardments of military objects in rear of an enemy and the courage, shown at it, pilot - navigator Andreenko Eugene Georgievich, May 15, 1946 was appropriated a rank of the Hero of the Soviet Union.
